Rescue of the Elemental World

Chapter 4

The Journey Begins

After the destruction of the village by the Power Drills, the princesses are allowing the villagers to stay in the castle until the village is rebuilt.  The teens are gathering around in a circle discussing about something when Yugo comes over to thank them.

“You did a really good job back there.  You sure showed those Power Drills.” Yugo laughs.

“Yugo, we have decided that we are going to leave here tomorrow to find the Dark Forces base.” Amelia tells him.

“But why?  I don’t understand.” Yugo says looking at the teens in a worried look.

“Well partly is because of the trouble we have brought to this place.  If we leave this place, the Dark Force won’t attack here again.” Meagan explains.

“And also, we need to find their hideout because the situation gets any more drastic.” Alex finishes.

“Well, if you have made your decision I have no choice but to agree with you.” Yugo says. “But we were going to send Doro and the kids along with you all as a guidance.”

“It’s okay, we can handle it.” Bobby says.

“How about this.  You all go on ahead and we’ll send the kids to find you later.” Yugo suggests.

“Sure why not.” Katy says. “It works for us.”

“We better get back to our world before our parents get worried.” Bobby says as they grasp their jewels and shouts “Transitation!”

The castle has disappeared in front of their eyes and a circular, rainbow-colored wall surrounds them.  They are now dropping in the speed of forty miles per hour and after a few seconds they have slowed down.  They land softly onto earth and find themselves inside the ravine.

“We better get home quickly before our parents freaks out on us.” Alex says running up the slippery hill.

“See you all tomorrow, same place.” Katy shouts.

            “Bye.” Bobby shouts.

“Where have you been?” Bobby’s dad barks at him.

            “Um… away?” Bobby answers.

“Hurry up and get changed.” He says. “Then go to bed.”

Bobby walks slowly into his room and drops onto his bed.  “Oh I’m so tired.  I wonder what’ll happen tomorrow…”

After a good night sleep, Luzhi is getting ready to leave for another day of adventure.

“Where are you going?” Luzhi’s dad asks folding his arms.

“Um… to Meagan’s house.” Luzhi answers quickly. “I’ve mentioned it to you before, don’t you remember?”

“I certainly do not.” Luzhi’s dad responds.

‘Darn it.” Luzhi says mentally.  “I did tell you.  Are you okay dad?  Maybe you’re too tired to remember.”

“Well I am sort of tired from yesterday.” Luzhi’s dad yawns.  “Well, okay, you can go.”

“Oh yeah and did I mention it’s a sleep over?” Luzhi tells her dad while she runs out the door. ‘Success!’

The rest of the teenagers are already down at the ravine when Luzhi finally shows up.

“It’s getting harder and harder to sneak out of the house.” Luzhi admits.

“Well is everyone ready?” Alex asks.

“Sure.” Meagan replies. “Everyone is here.”

“Transitation!” They all call out together.

They are slowly lifting off of the ground and are entering the rainbow tunnel once again.  They casually arrive at the Elemental World and find themselves at the back of the Earth Castle.

“Where should we go first?” Bobby asks.

“Should we go tell Yugo before we go anywhere?” Luzhi asks.

“That’s a good idea because if he does send the others along they’ll know where to find us.” Alex answers.

The group slowly walks around the large castle and stare down at the village.  Many villagers are busy rebuilding their destroyed homes.  Then they see Yugo down at the ruins too talking to one of the older villagers.  The group quickly rushes down the hill and to where Yugo is standing with the older man.

“Oh, hello!” Yugo greets them happily.  “Are you all on your way already?”

“Yeah, we just wanted to come and say goodbye and tell you where we’re going.” Meagan says.

“Maybe you can give us some advice of where we should look first.” Amelia suggests.

“Ah, so you are the humans that are transported here by the princesses.” The older man says.

“Yeah.” Alex says. “And you are?”

“Jyser is the name.” The old man replies. “I have a suggestion for you kids.  If you want to start looking for the Dark Forces’ base, you should go up to the Iwaga Mountains to the West.

            “The Iwaga Mountains?” Katy confirms.

“Yes, the Iwaga Mountains are the most hidden mountains in Jemena.” Yugo continues. “If anyone is going to make a base, they’re probably going to make it there.”

“Okay then, Iwaga Mountains will be our first destination!” Bobby shouts.

“I’ll have to warn you though.” Jyser interrupts.  “Many wild anokes lives in the Iwaga Mountains and they aren’t easy to get rid of neither.”

“We can take care of it.” Amelia says confidently.

“I wish you luck.” Yugo says. “Luck is the thing you’ll need the most.”

Alex shudders from that comment and the teens start to walk westward towards a tall brownish-green mountain.

“Are we there yet?” Bobby whines after walking nonstop for half an hour.

“We still have like one thousand kilometers to go and you’re whining about being tired?” Katy shouts at Bobby in the face.

“Well can we at least rest for a while?” Bobby says.

“Err, fine.” Katy pities and stops the group by a stream.

“Yeah let’s drink some water.” Alex says running towards the stream of clear runny water.

            “I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Luzhi warns.

            “Why not?” Alex asks.

“Because the stream might be poisoned because the Orb had been stolen.” Luzhi answers.

“Good point.” Alex says backing away from the water.

After a few minutes of rest, the group sets off again.  Another ten minutes or so have past and they suddenly hear a sound.

“Who is it?” Meagan asks quickly.

The group is looking at their surroundings trying to spot whatever it is around them.

“Up there!” Amelia points up into the sky at three red spots.

“Aw don’t tell me.” Katy sighs.

“Yes! I’m back! The one and only Hage!” The red hair boy says.

“Argh, get out of my face.” Luzhi says slapping her forehead.

The group walks past the three vultures uncaringly and continues on their way.

“How dare you ignore me?” Hage growls at them, eyes all red.

“Feather Slash!” Hage shouts and throws three feathers towards the group.

The three feathers have missed the teens, but have gotten their attention.  The group freezes in respond to the feathers that are now stuck in a tree trunk.  The group turns around and sees Hage charging towards them.

“RUN!” Bobby screams and starts running into a forest followed by the others.

Soon enough, they have lost Hage, but they are also lost.

“How did we do that?” Luzhi asks all of a sudden.

            “Do what?” Katy asks back.

“Run faster than Hage.” Luzhi answers. “He should be way faster than us and we should be fighting him right now.”

“Good point, but who cares.  At least we lost him.” Katy replies.

“So where are we anyways?” Alex questions the others.

“How should we know?” Bobby questions back.

“What are you kids doing in here?” a voice suddenly sounded.”

The group jumps at the gloomy voice of a stranger sitting below a tree. The stranger is wearing a mud-colored cloak and that is all they can see of him.

“Who are you?” Amelia asks kind of frighten.

“I’m Blaskous a General from the Earth Castle.” The man says.

“Then why are you here?  Why aren’t you at the castle or something?” Alex asks.

“I was sent here by princesses Chira to find the base of the Dark Forces, but I have failed.” Blaskous explains. “Once I have stepped into this forest, I was unable to get out.  Then I realized that this is the Web Forest.”

“Web Forest?” Katy replicates. “Why can’t you get out?”

“Well I should’ve known better not to come in here in the first place.” Blaskous whispers. “The Web Forest is known for many disappearance of people.  Only a few of them have come out of here alive.  But then those people turned insane after coming out of here.”

“Wow, maybe this is the Dark Forces’ hideout.” Meagan says.

“Why do you say that?” Blaskous lifts his head up.

“Well you see, many people have come into this forest and disappeared.  Maybe they’ve gotten captured by the Shadow Masters.” Meagan explains.

“That could be one of the reasons, but the Web Forest is like a maze.  No one can get out of here that easily unless to saw all the trees down.” Blaskous tells them.

“That’s it!” Alex disrupts. “We can destroy all the trees so we can get out of here.”

“Okay… Hydro Cannon.” Katy shouts and aims at one of the trees.

The large amount of water hits the tree and deflects it back a Katy.

“Look what you’ve done Alex!” Katy screams. “You made me all wet!”

“I’ve already tried that and the exact same thing happened to me.” Blackous informs.

“Well you should’ve warned me then!” Katy shouts.

“Quit arguing and let’s find a way out of here.” Amelia stops Katy from talking.

The group helps Blaskous off the ground and starts to walk into the forest.

“So how long have you been trapped in here?” Luzhi asks curiously.

“About three weeks now.” Blaskous replies.

Luzhi’s and the others’ jaw dropped to the ground.

“Three weeks?  Oh my god.” Bobby repeats.

“I don’t want to be trapped in here for three weeks!” Alex cries.

“Who said that we’re going to be here for three weeks?” Meagan slaps Alex.

“We’re not?” Alex looks at Meagan.

“No, we’re going to be here longer than three weak.” Meagan smiles.

“Argh.” Alex turns back towards the front.

The group has walked about fifteen minutes now and they need to rest for a while.  They find this place with many boulders and they sit down and talk.

“So this is why Hage didn’t follow us in here.” Luzhi answers her own question.

“Maybe he chased us in here on purposely too.” Bobby says.

“I’m going to kill that bird if I ever get out of here!” Meagan explodes.

“We’ll have to get out of here. We still need to find the Dark Forces’ hide out.” Amelia reminds the angered group.

“So you are all after the hideout too?” Blaskous asks.

“Oh yeah we forgot to introduce ourselves.” Katy says. “Well I’m Katy and this is Meagan, Bobby, Alex, Luzhi, and Amelia.  We were called upon by the princesses from the human world.”

“Really…  Well we better get going if we want out.” Blaskous says.

The group starts to walk again.  It seems to them that they have wandered in circles after circles.  Then they see something moving in a large bush right beside them.

            “Who’s there?” Meagan asks.

Out of the bush, a horse-sized elephant-like anoke walks out.  The creature is cadet blue and has metal spikes wrapped around their legs.

“What are you doing in the Web Forest?” The anoke ask angrily.

“We were chased in here by another anoke.” Katy starts talking to the elephant.

“Well I’ll have you know that you’re trespassing the Home of Elerts.” The anoke says.  “If you don’t get out of here fast, you’re going to be in big trouble.”

The teens look at each other and start to walk away.

“Hey wait a second!” Amelia realizes something. “You Elerts lived here for quite a long time right?”

“What if we have?” the anoke says suspecting something wrong.

“Well then you must know a lot about this forest.” Amelia continues. “Well I was just wondering if you can take us out of here.”

“No I cannot do so.” The anoke says and turns around walking back into the bush he came out of.

“We’ll follow you until you agree you will.” Bobby says running after it.

“Oh I can’t believe this.” Alex sighs and starts following the anoke too.

After a few minutes of walking, they end up at a field of green grass and no trees.  The group stops and admires the beauty of this place.

“I’ll never guess that there is such a nice place in such an evil forest.” Meagan starts speaking.

“Maybe we should look around.” Katy suggests.

They start to explore the Home of the Elerts and they find a cave that leads to the underground.

“Maybe we can ask them for some refreshments.” Luzhi says skipping into the cave.

“Hey wait!” Amelia yells after her.

“Is this safe?” Bobby asks following his friends.

The have now reached the bottom of the cave and what they are looking at is the most amazing thing.

“This is like a palace.” Alex says comparing this to the Earth Castle.

“This is nicer than I thought.” Katy admires all the decorations they have in there.

“I think it is wise for us to leave right now.” Blaskous suggests.

“Who goes there!” two men walks towards them. “We haven’t seen you before. Are you Elerts?”

“No, not exactly.” Meagan explains. “We sort of gotten chased into the Web Forest and we’re really hungry.  So we’re wondering if…”

“No.” one of the guards says decidedly. “And I want all of you out of our territory at once!”

“Fine!  If we’re not wanted, then we’ll leave.” Katy shouts stamping out of the opening and up the stairs.

            “Ah!!!” A voice screams.

“What the?” Alex says running up the stairs.

“Oh no, it’s Hage!” Bobby points up into the sky.

“Who is this maniac?” the guard that has sent the group out says.

“His name is Hage and I think it’ll be better if you stay inside your little cave until we’re finish with him.” Amelia instructs.

“We can protect ourselves thank you, now scram!” The guard shouts.

“Wow, that’s nice.” Katy says sarcastically.

Hage and his troops have landed on the beautiful sea of green grass. “Ah ha…  How are you kids and you General Blaskous?” Hage laughs in a high-pitched voice.

“I’m going to have to pay for what you’ve done!” Blaskous says confidently and throws his cloak to the side revealing his shiny, sea green and silver armor.  Blaskous draws his sword out of his belt and charges at Hage who doesn’t seem to be a bit worried.

“Be careful!” Amelia shouts as Blaskous reach where Hage is standing and swings his sword.

Hage’s hand seems to instinctually block the sword and with his other hand he jabs Blaskous in the stomach.

“His hand just penetrated through the armor.” Alex watch petrified as Blaskous fall to the ground.

“Who is this monster?” The guard also a little frightened.

“Is he dead?” Katy asks not willing to look.

“No, I don’t think so.” Meagan replies.

“Is he half dead?” Katy continues.

“I believe so.” Meagan answers again.

            “Oh, god.” Katy says quietly.

“Now the six of you are going to feel the wrath of Hage the Valt!  Last time I was going easy on you and didn’t expect you can use a Heat Wave attack, but this time I’m ready.” Hage hovers into the air.

The teens back away from the man and suddenly the Elert Guard rushes in front of them.  He seems to be in a fighting position and it seems like he’s going to take Hage on.

“Ha… Like you can ever beat me.  It is known for a fact that Valts are stronger than Elerts.  Pathetic.” Hage smirks.

“Watch your mouth!” Amelia shouts. “You won’t be laughing when he finishes you off!”

“Oh yes I will.” Hage says. “Mark my words.”

Flaming Feather Slash!” Hage shouts and throws three feathers towards the Elert guard.  The feathers then light up with blazing fire and still shooting straight at the Elert.  The teens cover their eyes not daring to look at what’s going to happen.  At the last second, the Elert guard dodges the flaming feathers and runs towards Hage.  With a chop on the back of Hage’s neck by the Elert, he falls down unconscious.

“How dare you!” one of the Valts that Hage brought along shouts.

“Your leader is one of the dumbest idiots I’ve ever seen.  He should’ve considered that we are faster than we look.

“Err… We’re going to burn this place down until nothing is left!” the same Valt commands the others.

From that, the other Valts start to shoot fireballs at the field burning it fiercely and violently.

            “Argh…” The Elert guard mutters.

“Why are you doing anything?” Meagan shouts at him. “Are you going to let them burn your home?”

“Well I’m afraid we can’t do anything about it.” He answers back.

“Hydro Cannon!” Katy shouts and shoots a jet of water out of her hands.

“Ice Blow!” Luzhi calls and start to blow icy wind out of her mouth freezing the fire right on the spot.

“Come at least you can try if you work as a group.” Amelia tells the guard.

“Come on.  We’ll distract the Valts while you call the others to help.” Amelia helps.

“Heat Wave!” Meagan attacks and a beam of red shoots out of her hands.

The Valts, expecting it is coming, swallowed Meagan’s attack like energy to make them stronger.

            “What the!” Meagan shouts.

“I think you should use your physical strength.” Katy shouts at her over the noise the Valts are making.

“Works for me!” Meagan shouts back and swinging punches at the Valts at the same time.

            “Grass Slash!” Bobby strikes.

Almost all the Elerts are out of the cave right now and they are working together to put out the fire with their Land Slide attack.

“Argh… there are too much of them.  Retreat!” the Valt commands. “And don’t forget commander Hage!”

The Valts fly away carrying their still unconscious leader.  The Elerts are celebrating about their victory against a flock of Valt, which doesn’t happen often, and they are forgetting that there are non-Elerts in their zone.

“Did you see those Landslides attack?” Bobby asks the group. “I suggest we bust out of here before they cream us.”

The teens and Blaskous quietly move away from the jolly Elerts and towards the bushes surround the field.

“Hold it right there!” a voice calls out.

            “Uh… yes?” Meagan stammers.

“We will like to thank you for reminding us that if we stick together we can beat the evilest forces.” The same Elert guard says. “We will like to invite you all in for a feast if you don’t mind.”

            “Wow thanks.” Katy bursts out.

The group follows the Elerts down the crowded stairway and into the large palace-like cave.

“Please take your seats anywhere you like.” The Elerts tell them.

“Um… may I ask for your name?” Amelia asks.

“You can call me Tori.” The Elert guard introduces.

“The sun is going to descend soon, so you can all stay here for the night.” Tori invites.

“Thanks a lot.” Alex says with gratitude.

“So why were you guys being chased by those Valts?” Tori asks.

“Well we are supposed to be going after the stolen Elemental Orbs, but the Dark Forces found out about it.  So they are now trying to destroy up with everything they’ve got.”

            “That’s interesting…” Tori pauses.

“I know it’s kind of weird, but it’s true.” Meagan adds.

The feast they have had is magnificent.  They haven’t had such a well-fed dinner for a long time.

“I think we shall take you to your rooms.” Tori says calling two people to show the guests their rooms.

“Um… Tori?  I have seen you use the Landslide attack and it seemed really powerful.  So I was wondering if you could teach me.” Bobby says grinning widely.

“Well I guess that wouldn’t be a problem.” Tori replies and takes Bobby outside to train.

Next day the group has woken up ready to continue on their journey.  The have done their long goodbyes with the Elerts and are told that they can come back anytime they want to.

“It’s has been nice being with you kids, but I have to go back to the castle now.” Blaskous tells the teens.

“Can’t you just come with us to find the Orbs?” Luzhi asks.

“That is my duty, but I have to report to the princesses before I can do anything else.” Blaskous explains. “This is not goodbye.  We’ll see each other once again and I have a feeling that it won’t be long.  Farewell my loyal friends!”

They watch as Blaskous disappear into the woods.

            “Loyal?” Meagan laughs. “Yeah right.”

            “Well, let’s get going.”
