Rescue of the Elemental World
Chapter 2
The Beginning of Destruction
The practices are now over and the kids are leading the friends back to Doro’s house, except for Doro himself because he has to bring his injured dad back home. When they finally reach Doro’s house, the door is open meaning that somebody is inside. The group peers in and finds Bobby standing up beside the dining table and Doro’s dad clutching his shoulders.
“What happened?” Zoom asks quickly.
“I got stabbed by a grass needle.” Doro’s dad tells the group.
Everyone quickly glance at the direction of where Bobby is standing who is looking more nervous than ever.
“I should’ve known something like this would happen.” Meagan sighs.
“Is it serious?” Luzhi asks.
“No, good thing that Bobby here is just a beginner.” Doro’s dad responds.
“Sir, what’s your name and what were you doing in the forest?” Amelia questions.
“My name is Yugo.” Doro’s dad says. “You probably know about the elemental orbs right? I use to work in the castle as a guard and since the orbs are stolen, everyone in the castle are told to help calm the elements so they won’t go wild and destroy the Human World.”
“So if you worked in the castle? Did you see anything suspicious on the day the orbs were stolen?” Amelia asks curiously.
“I was on duty that night and there weren’t anything unusual except that the washroom on the floor I’m guarding is out of order.” Yugo tells.
“That’s important.” Alex says.
“No it isn’t!” Meagan shouts smacking Alex again.
“Hehehe.” Bobby laughs while Meagan smacks him too.
“It’s almost dark and if you don’t mind, you can stay here for the night.” Doro invites.
“That’s really generous of you.” Luzhi thanks.
The other boys have soon left Doro’s home and it’s time for dinner. Yugo is cooking tonight and Doro helps setting up the dining table. The six friends are in the living room discussing about the orbs.
“We should go to the castle tomorrow and see the princesses for more clues.” Katy suggests.
“I think so too.” Bobby agrees.
Then the main door to the house opens and a woman walks into the house. The group knows right away that this is Doro’s mom.
“It seems like we have company.” The Woman says.
“Hi.” The group of six greets.
“Hi I’m Hanna.” The woman introduces.
Then Doro comes running in the living room and starts introducing us to his mom. After he whispers something into his mother’s ears that made her eyes widen.
“Why be my guess and stay here as long as you like.” Hanna adds as she walks up the wooden stairs to the second floor.
“Dinner’s ready!” Yugo calls from the kitchen and the six friends depart the living room.
“Wow this looks great.” Meagan points out.
Everyone take their seats and starts eating when they all hear a sound. It’s like someone knocking on the door, but only not the door. It seems to come from the roof. Doro’s family quickly runs upstairs and the friends swiftly follow them.
“It seems to be coming from Doro’s bedroom.” Yugo shouts.
Doro quickly leads the group into his room and when they reach there, there is a gigantic hole in the ceiling. A second later, three vultures fly inside and land on the floor. Another second later they have transform themselves into human. The two at the sides are wearing solid, gray armor and look like guards unlike the middle one.
“My name is Hage and I’m sent here by Jin.” The man in the middle speaks. “I want those children now! Hand them over!”
Hage has long, flaming, red hair and an “X” necklace. He has a pair of red wings attack behind his black feathery armor and has a very squawky voice.
“Never!” Yugo shouts back.
“Doro, take these kids to safety!” Hanna instructs as Doro runs out of the room.
“Follow them!” Hage yells.
“Not so fast!” Yugo says.
“Infinite Earth Buster!” Hanna and Yugo both shout together.
Then, a green laser beam shoots out of their hands and hits the two guards’ wings making them drop to the ground.
“Not bad.” Hage smirks. “But you should hand the kids over if you don’t want the castle to end up as a ruin.”
Hage is pointing at the window in Doro’s room that has an exact view of the castle. Following Hage’s finger, Hanna and Yugo quickly realize that the Earth Castle has been surrounded by a whole flock of vultures.
“Do as you like.” Yugo tells Hage. “But I will not hand over the children.”
“Not even for the safety of the castle?” Hage smiles.
“I think you’re forgetting something.” Hanna speaks. “The Earth Castle is protected by many repellents for dark magic.”
Hage gives Hanna an angry look and transforms himself back into a vulture. He flies back out of the damaged roof and flies towards the castle. Hanna and Yugo are watching the castle closely and are also wondering about what Hage is going to do to it.
“Attack the castle immediately!” Hage calls to the vultures surrounding the castle.
“What are they doing?” Hanna asks. “They know it is impossible to penetrate the shield of protection the castle has.”
“I’m not so sure about that anymore.” Yugo replies. “Vultures are warrior type birds. They might just be able to get in.”
“Then let’s go stop them.” Hanna tells Yugo and they both run out of their house and start to the castle.
Meanwhile, Doro has led the group of teens into the forest and they have stopped where they can see both Doro’s house and the castle.
“Why are those vultures trying to kill us?” Katy says rather loudly.
“Because they are part of the Dark Forces, the ones that took the Elemental Orbs.” Doro explains.
“How do you know?” Bobby asks.
“Because they’re wearing an “X” necklace.” Doro continues. “All followers of the Dark Forces are forced to wear an “X” necklace to resemble evil.”
“But that still doesn’t explain why they are here to get us!” Katy shouts even louder.
“It’s because they know that you’re going to try to get back the Elemental Orbs from them.” Doro tells them.
“How do they know?” Alex questions.
“We all know. The princesses of the palace told us all that they are going to get help from your world and also to protect you all from the Dark Forces.” Doro responds. “But the only way they could’ve found out is if there’s a spy in the castle.”
Then suddenly, they can all hear the loud noises coming from the castle. They can see that Doro’s parents, accompanied by other villagers, fighting off the cloud of vultures.
“We have to go help them!” Luzhi shouts.
“You can’t!” Doro shouts back. “It’s much too dangerous for you!”
“But we have to!” Amelia supports. “We’re they ones that are responsible for this!”
“And we can also work on our powers this way. Come on!” Meagan calls as she runs towards the castle.
“No!” Doro shouts after them, but they are gone.
Soon the group has reached the castle where the villagers are.
“So there you are!” Hage shouts down above them.
“Why are you here Doro! I thought I told you to take them away!” Hanna shouts.
“I did but…” Doro replies.
“It’s not his fault. We decided to come ourselves.” Bobby tells her.
“This is our responsibility and we’re going to take care of it.” Luzhi adds.
Hage is swooping down towards they squawking like crazy. And Hanna blasts him with another green beam of light, but miss. Hage swoops up and down towards them again.
“I can handle this!” Meagan steps forward. “Let see if this work.” Meagan starts rubbing her hands together until she feels the heat between her hands. “Heat Wave!”
A red spark starts to glow in front of Meagan’s hands and a red beam shoots out straight at Hage. With widened eyes, Hage tries to dodge the surprise attack, but it is too. Hage’s left wing is now burning with smoke. He drops to the ground and with the help of two other vultures, they fly away from the undamaged castle.
“I won’t forget this!” Hage adds as he flies out of sight.
“Let’s all go back to my house and we’ll explain everything to you.” Yugo offers.
Once they are back at Doro’s house the six friends have gone crazy with questions. They are all crowded inside the dining room, a small rectangular room with an oval table covered by a blue velvet cloth.
“Who’s Jin?” Bobby asks.
“Jin is one of the six Shadow Masters. He’s the one who you’re going after for the Earth Orb.” One of the older citizens says.
“Well then lets go find him and kick his butt!” Meagan roars.
“But you’re not strong enough yet.” Yugo interrupts. Even all of us here combine is not strong enough to go against him.”
“Then why don’t the Kings and Queens do something about it?” Amelia asks.
“No doubt the Kings and Queens can combine their powers to defeat Jin, but what if the six Shadow Masters combine their powers too. And we don’t even know if they have other backup warriors or not. It is just too risky for the Royal Families to go fight the Shadow Masters.” Hanna tells them.
“So you people went to get us to fight them? Are you trying to kill us? If the Royal Family can’t even defeat them, what make you people think that we can save your world and ours’?” Katy interprets angrily.
“But you have to help us. If you don’t, both worlds will be covered in darkness.” Another older man says.
“And we’ll help you on the way.” The six kids that they have met before suddenly appears at the door.
“Well we could give it a try, couldn’t we?” Alex asks the others.
“Please, we need your help.” Hanna begs.
“Well, I guess we could.” Meagan responds.
“But it’s night time now and our parents will be worried if we don’t go back.” Bobby tells the big group.
“Then you can go back to your world and come back tomorrow.” Doro says with a smile on his face.
“How?” Luzhi asks confused.
“Well as long as you have those necklaces on, you are connected between the two worlds. All you have to do is hold on to your globe and say “Transitation”. The only people who know this incantation are the ones that can prove themselves pure. It is not wise to give this incantation away because if the Shadow Masters find out, they’ll destroy the other world as fast as they could.” Zoom tells the group.
“Well it’s getting late and you all have to go home. We’ll see you tomorrow.” Yugo tells them as the people leave the house and the group gets ready to teleport back to their world.
They grasp their spherical jewels and shouts out the incantation. A second later, they feel like the ground has suddenly disappeared and they are dropping at a really high speed.
Bobby is screaming like crazy and Meagan is laughing like crazy. The others are just there with confused faces. Soon they find themselves slowing down and land softly at the school’s parking lot.
“Huh?” Amelia speaks. “We’re… back.”
“Wow this is great.” Luzhi says.
“I had enough excitement for one day.” Alex tells the group as the all goes different directions back home.
That night the group of teens has slept well with no disturbances and soon the sun has risen and the golden lights of the warm welcoming sun shine through their eyes to wake them up again. They are going to meet at the school again to return to the Elemental World, but there are some problems.
“Mom I need to go to my friends party.” Alex begs with glittering eyes.
“Go ask your Dad.” Alex’s mom tells him.
“Dad can I go to my friends birthday party?” Alex asks hopefully.
“What time are you leaving and when’ll you be back?” Alex’s dad asks back.
“Um… I’m leaving right now and I’m coming back at ten o’clock at night?” Alex stutters.
Alex’s dad stares at Alex for a moment and says, “Yeah okay, you can go.”
Alex, surprise by the answer, jumps back into his room to get changed. Then he runs quickly out the door and down the street. The other five teens are already waiting at the school really annoyed.
“Where is Alex? Bobby go home and try to phone him!” Katy shouts irritably.
“No need, there him comes.” Amelia tells the group.
“Where have you been?” Meagan yells at Alex for being late.
“Well, I sort of slept in, and I needed to asks my Dad to see if I can go or not.” Alex explains.
Everyone sighs and start to walk down into the ravine.
“Why are we going down here again?” Bobby asks.
“Uh, because nobody will see us and thinks we are total freaks?” Luzhi tells Bobby in a -you’re so stupid- way.
Once they reach the bottom of the ravine, they clutch the color globes in their hands and shouts “Transitation”. In no time, they have been lifted off the ground and into the air. They start entering a colorful, cylindrical passage and lands at a place that they don’t recognize.
“Where are we?” Amelia asks clueless.
They have arrived at a gloomy, misty place where nobody is in sight. Below them seems like dirt and all around them are leafless trees.
“Look what you’ve done Alex! If you haven’t been late, we won’t be here!” Meagan shouts.
“How is that possible? That is not possible!” Alex screams and runs around in circles going crazy.
“Okay! It’s not your fault now shut up!” Katy shouts at him.
“Come on, we have to find a way out of here. It’s getting colder and colder every millisecond.” Luzhi tells the others who are feeling the same.
Then from a far distance, they hear sounds. Sounds of carriages are becoming clearer as they approach. The six friends wave signaling for help and the carriages appear. But these carriages are most different from the carriages the six teens have seen. For one, they aren’t being pull by horses. The creatures that are pulling the carriages are a little taller than horses. They have turquoise coated body and four long skinny legs. They are wearing some kind of silvery armor and have a golden horn on their foreheads.
“Fascinating creatures.” Alex says in a whisper. “I wonder what they are.”
The carriages slow and stop in front of them. Two men hop out and greet them.
“Hi, I’m Glen and this is Vincent. May I ask what you’re all doing here?” The taller of the two asks them.
“Um… we sort of got lost on our way to Earth Castle.” Amelia tells the two men trying not to expose their identity.
“Oh the Earth Castle? You’re in luck, we are just about to go there too.” Vincent tells the teens. “Do you want a lift?”
“I don’t know… what if they are bad people?” Bobby whispers to Amelia.
“I don’t think so because they aren’t wearing an “X” necklace.” Amelia whispers back.
They climb onto the carriage with the two men and the two horse-like creatures starts to gallop.
“Sir… what kind of animal is that?” Luzhi asks trying to be polite.
“Animal?” Glen asks back, “What are animal?”
“Those things.” Luzhi points at the two creatures.
“Oh those. They aren’t animals. They’re Anokes.” Glen replies.
“What are Anokes?” Bobby asks curiously.
“Anokes are humans that are born with the ability to change into creatures. They are also born with magical powers so they don’t need to use any elemental equipments to use magic.” Vincent clarifies.
“So Hage is an Anoke too.” Meagan whispers.
“You know Hage?” Glen shouts furiously. “Are you working for the dark forces?”
“No, no, no!” Amelia quickly responds. “We aren’t, in fact we’re the ones Princess Chira and Princess Shenira sent to destroy the dark forces.”
“What? You’re the six humans that the Princesses sent?” Vincent’s eyes widen.
“Please except my apologies for being so rude.” Glen says brushing his blonde hair back with his hands.
“We’ll get you to the Earth Castle as soon as possible.” Vincent tells the group.
“So I suppose that you two aren’t from the Dark Forces neither.” Katy says in a quiet voice. “So then why don’t you have one of these?” Katy points at her crystal globe.
“Oh that’s because we’re also Anokes.” Glen explains.
“We were born here in Jemena and we are called back to the Earth castle to help protect it.” Vincent explains. “They have told us that the castle was under attack by Hage and his troops yesterday so we are going there straight away.”
Soon they have reach vast plains and into a forest. They can see that the forest here is way different from where they have landed. The trees are ever so green and the air is so fresh. And finally they see a village and on top of a sloping hill is the Earth Castle standing tall above the houses. The Carriages have finally stopped inside the village and they hop out. They can see that Yugo is waiting impatiently for them in front of his house.
“You’re here.” Yugo says in relief as his run towards the carriage with Doro following behind him. “I was so worried that you were lost.”
“We were lost.” Alex stutters.
“We found them at the edge of the Independent Forest.” Glen tells Yugo.
“Glen, Vincent, it has been a long time.” Yugo says shaking their hands. “So what are you kids doing at the Independent Forest?”
“Well we sort of got transported there by accident.” Bobby explains.
“What about that forest? And why is it all so dead?” Katy asks.
“Well that part of the forest has been corrupted by the lost of the Elemental Orb and we don’t have enough people with the energy to revive it. So unless we get the Orbs back, it’ll stay like that forever. And maybe soon, this village will end up with the same fate.” Yugo tells the group.
The group listened in awe, they cannot believe that the losing the Earth Orb can change so much. They are also wondering about what their world will be like if they cannot retrieve the Earth Orb back.
“Ah!!!!” They hear a deafening scream coming from the forest.
“What was that?” Glen asks.
“I don’t know.” Yugo replies. “Quickly Doro, go get the others.” Yugo instructs as he runs towards the forest with the kids and the two men following him.
